About the Author

A fifth generation Floridian, Joseph B. Stokes, Jr., graduated from Wake Forest College with a B.S. degree in General Science, then from Bowman Gray School of Medicine with an M.D. degree. He received graduate training at Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, and the JHEP Residency Program in Jacksonville, Florida. He was then involved in the private practice of Urology at McIver Urological Clinic in Jacksonville for thirty-three years.

He is the husband of Daythel R. Stokes, and they have two sons, Joseph III (an attorney) and David (a public school teacher). They love and pamper their two granddaughters, Emmaline and Elizabeth when they are not enjoying their mountain get-a-way.

Dr. Stokes has done extensive teaching in several venues. This is his compilation of stewardship talks at his local church in Jacksonville over a twenty-three year span.
