About the Author

Stan's first book, A Proud Heritage, the James Ansel Vinson Family Story, was released in 1999, and his nostalgic poetry has been published locally, nationally, and internationally in newspapers, magazines, books and Internet sources. In 2004 he was recognized in The International Who's Who In Poetry and appeared as a feature poet in their annual publication (Waterman Press, Owings Mills, Maryland, USA).

He holds a professional designation of L.U.T.C.F., and has degrees in Religious Education and Sacred Literature from Covington College in Rossville, Georgia. He has been involved in religious education for many years, and has taught and spoken in eight denominations and many independent churches.

He owns and manages a Final Expense marketing agency, American Benefit Serves, currently doing business in five states. Over the years he has been a manager with several well-known insurance companies. For the past several years, his agency has been leading regional agency for the Final Expense Division of Security National Financial Corporation in Salt Lake City, Utah. He and his lovely wife, Rhonda, have traveled extensively to many exotic spots in several countries.

In 2003 Stan was knighted by the Supreme Military Order of the Temple of Jerusalem, Grand Priory of the USA. He is co-founder of the worldwide Sinclair YDNA project, and currently serves as Eastern Regional VIce President of the Scottish "Clan Sinclair Association, USA". He is also president of his local Kiwanis Club, of which he is a charter member. Stan and Rhonda are members of the United Methodist Church, and live in McMinnville, Tennessee. Stan has four children, one stepdaughter, and twelve grandchildren.
