About the Book

William Ryan wants to be good, but things aren't going his way. His classmate is sitting in his chair, and the girls are playing in his favorite place - the sandbox! William is having a hard time sharing with his friends, and his teacher is at her wit's end. What could be wrong with William Ryan? Maybe he should see Dr. Brown; will she know how to fix the way William feels? Each book in the William Ryan series explores a behavioral aspect of ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Written by the real William's mom, who is a maternal child nurse, teacher, and mother of two children with ADHD, William Ryan's experiences will help parents and caregivers appreciate the challenges and rewards of helping ADHD children understand and control the way they feel. For ADHD kids, and for any child who has ever had problems with aggression, disobedience, attention, or organization, the William Ryan series creates a character they can relate to: rowdy, sometimes loud, and often in trouble, William learns to harness his energy in productive and creative ways.

About the Author

A Maternal/Child nurse, Robin holds degrees in Nursing and Psychology. She is currently on staff at the University of Oklahoma Medical Center as Manager of Women's and Newborn Services. She serves as adjunct faculty at Oklahoma City Community College, Rose State College and Oklahoma City University. This is her second book but the first in the "William Ryan" series.

Illustrator

Previously a Critical Care nurse, Toni holds a BSN from Oklahoma Baptist University and an MBA from the University of Oklahoma. Her current position at the OU Medical Center is Manager of Nursing Informatics. This is her first book illustration.
