About the Author

Peter N. T. Pang received the B.Sc. Electrical Engineering from the University of Aston, England; and the M.B.A. from the San Jose State University, U.S.A.. He has extensive experience in international operations. He has worked as a Senior Consultant at Arthur D. Little Consulting Company. Peter's areas of special expertise are production management, quality control management, materials and inventory control, manufacturing engineering, product design engineering, human resources, plant financial and managerial accounting, and plant operations. He has worked as a Quality Control Manager in a General Electric facility in Singapore; later as a Plant Manager or General Manager at the National Semiconductor facility in Malaysia; TMX Pte. Ltd. in Singapore, a facility of Timex Corporation; Electronica BRK S.A. de C.V. in Mexico, and Xian System Sensor Electronics Ltd. in China, both facilities of Pittway Corporation. He has been very successful in turning around troubled manufacturing companies in Cupertino, California; West Chicago, Illinois; and Brighton, England. Also, he has rendered some manufacturing services to companies in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the Philippines. Peter's career spans more than thirty-five years of operations, plant and general management in national and international companies. In addition, he has successfully pioneered, established and managed a few manufacturing facilities and companies. He is the author of Essentials of Quality Control Management.
