About the Book

Pain and suffering is a part of our world, there is no escape. How can you cope in the face of difficulty, especially when heaven is silent and your prayers seem to dissipate in the wind? "Beauty Instead of Ashes" offers biblical insights from Jesus' life, which connects with your spirit, bringing hope in the midst of pain. These beloved stories of Jesus' life do more than comfort, they speak into our circumstances, showing His healing touch is real for our times, and not just two thousand years ago. Has the joy in your life drained away, as it had at a wedding in Cana? Jesus provided an abundance of the best wine, ensuring the celebration would continue. He can do the same for you, filling you with His Spirit, changing you from within. Ever wonder why Jesus said to the paralytic, "Your sins are forgiven?" Jesus saw the deepest healing was within, in the man's heart. Peer with me beneath the surface of these Bible stories, to see how Jesus' touch on your life can bring the deepest healing, and provide hope and victory even in the face of tragedy. I invite you on a journey through the Bible to see in a new and fresh way that Jesus came to "preach the good news...to bind up the brokenhearted...proclaim freedom for the captives...to comfort all who mourn, and to bestow on them a crown of Beauty Instead of Ashes." Isaiah 61:1-3
