About the Book

A brutally poignant analysis, with all the fawning, mass-media myth-information stripped bare, leaving the reader aghast at the continuing economic rape of the 'New' China under the aegis of Globalization.

With consummate skill, the author of LAND continues in his explosive style by revealing to the world what Globalization in China is really all about.

His personal account, gained while teaching in the People's Republic of China, depicts the never-ending suffering, rampant squalor, and complete degradation of the people by the continuous, ever-present boot heel of the current Communist Dynasty.

The author's compassion for his students, coupled with a love of the country, bleeds through this finely tuned text in a way that puts many other "academic" treatises to shame.

Mr. Klepinger directs all his venom exactly where it belongs - at the contrivance of the Chinese Communist Party, in full compliance with international mega-corporations that legally conspire to ransack, plunder and pillage the working "masses" of the people, all in the euphemistic name of Globalization.

His story is astonishing, the examples are breathtaking and the manner in which he presents his case is irrefutable. From wanton graft and political corruption to the officially authorized slave-labor conditions, complete with astounding facts and figures, Mr. Klepinger's fully authoritative presentation reads like a novel. But this is no novel.

It is the truth like it has never been told before.

About the Author

Lawrence Klepinger was born in California, attended public schools and graduated from Sylmar High School in 1965. In March of 1966 he joined the Army and served for 26 months in Vietnam. Upon his return home he attended San Jose State University receiving both his BA and MA degrees.

In 1978 he went to Japan to teach English for a year and stayed for over two decades.

He returned to the USA to run for Congress in 2004 as a New Republican advocating full tax reform, strong national security, a national healthcare system and a woman's right to choose - which totally upset the Evangelical Element of the GOP - thus denying him official backing in the primary election.

With his straight talk regarding the issues, steadfast refusal to accept campaign contributions and his biting sense of humor he almost upset the GOP hand-picked candidate - who subsequently went on to be defeated in a landslide in the general election.

In 2005 Mr. Klepinger was invited to be a university lecturer at Fuzhou University in the People's Republic of China.

In addition to CHINA HOUSE, he has also written a novel entitled LAND, has published two ESL textbooks with Barron's Education Series, has written extensively on educational procedure, and is currently writing a free-lance column for the Whatcom Independent Newspaper.

He now divides his time traveling with his wife, Akiko, between Panama, the States and all points beyond. Mr. Klepinger can be directly contacted at: lawrenceklepinger@gmail.com
