About the Book

Although the title of this text promises one hundred questions and answers, typically, the author delivers much more- 144. The questions represents a bolus of perennial salvos from students over several years of teaching. They span a wide range of philosophical, metaphysical and soteriological issues that have perennially troubled the human condition. The answers are culled form Avatars, perfect Masters, and the best philosophical insights, are made to exurge quite casually form the persona of a divine personage or the saged representative of such a being. Every page challenges the conceptual networks and advantages the reader with enriched insights. The book need not be read sequentially. The prose is elegant and the stories and humour palliate the thought. All in all the text is a worthy guide and companion for the serious pilgrim.

About the Author

Marcellus Martyr has the distinction of pioneering the teaching of philosophy in Ontario high schools. He effectively demonstrated it 'teachability' for over seventeen years before the subject was officially adopted by the ministry. He is clearly defined as teacher, actor poet, author and social activist. As Professor Lahoux of Princeton put it: "Marcellus martyr... is one of the the liveliest minds I have ever encountered... This is someone whose questions are bigger, whose answers are sharper, whose interests run deeper than almost anyone... you can't help being impressed by the sheer force of his personality. The man has a presence that is hard to forget. But that is nothing compared to the intellect, and the creativity with which he deploys it. Here is someone not afraid to push every boundary..." This authors interests are far ranging and his thirst for enlightenment has seen him questing in both the south and north of the Indian continent. He has established familiar links with mandali of the most recent Avator- Merher Baba- and his rendition of Bhau Kalchuri's "Meher Sarod" into a corresponding Rubaiyat of 179 quatrains is an eclipsing and enduring piece of literature.
