About the Book

When asked, most people will describe martial arts as a form of exercise associated with violent natured people. This book was written with the main purpose of shedding this and other misconceptions.

The first chapter describes the various types of martial arts, the people involved in promoting them and their purpose.

The classified styles based in theories and Animal traits are dealt with in the second chapter and do not discriminate with regard to any particular style.

Subsequently the advantages and disadvantages of different styles (based on their Animal traits) taking personality and relationships into consideration and classifying people according to these is discussed.

Finally, the ultimate Dragon Concept (linking style and personality) and possibility of becoming a Dragon by understanding your own personality is reviewed.

This book has been written to dissipate any erroneous ideas about martial arts and to open up the exciting possibilities these disciplines offer for developing people's personalities and increasing their strengths and potential.

About the Author

Ashwin Kesso grew up in South West Dublin. He has been involved in all aspects of martial arts for the last 10 years. He is particularly interested in martial arts philosophies and theories, and the deeper understanding of martial arts in general. Ashwin does not limit himself to specific martial art styles as he feels every martial art has something positive to offer. He is currently embarking on his journey towards becoming a Dragon martial artist, however he believes that martial artists never complete their studies and that they can always increase their knowledge and potential. His second book, which is at present in progress, will feature a martial art style quiz and a personality type assessment.

Ashwin also writes fiction and is interested in physics, philosophy, behavioural psychology, mythology and computers.
