About the Book

What do you do when a vet refuses to put an end to your dying dog's suffering because he's angry with you and wants to hurt you? Why, you create an animal defense association, of course, to fight against the cruelty towards animals perpetrated by certain unscrupulous vets...

And then, what do you do when the godmother of your association is assassinated?

This is the dilemma faced by Hannah Straite in the novel Don't Defend Animals. Written by Guenady, an American who has lived in France for more than 30 years, Don't Defend Animals includes observations on Contemporary French Society from the point of view of an expat animal defender

Set on the mythic French Riviera, Don't Defend Animals contrasts the paradise of the Rich with the realities of life for the financially less forunate, as well as the hell that the majority of animals endure, in that place no less than anywhee else on our planet.

If you were ever curious about the mind of an animal defender and vegetarian, this is your opportunity to get close Or, have you ever wondered why the French are the way they are? In Don't Defend Animals, you will read some unique observations of modern French society that might just finally dispell the mystery of those points of cluture clash that dog France's relations with the rest of the world, and the United States in particular. The book also includes original vegan recipes used by le Speakeasy in Nice, France's only vegan restaurant.

Proceeds from the sale of this book go to The Friends of Guenady Association (Nice, France) for animal defense
