About the Author
Stan Kibbe studied civil engineering and mathematics and obtained a BA degree from San Jose State College. He served 21 years as a U.S. Air Force pilot. Stan was employed as a building site-plan inspector for Dart Resorts, developer of the Tahoe Donner Subdivision in Truckee, California. He started his own home maintenance and repair business in Truckee, and holds both Real Estate Broker and General Contractor licenses. After working for 26 years in high snow-country, Stan was inspired to write a book to share what he learned about buying, building, and maintaining a mountain home. Stan is now retired and lives in Santa Maria, California.
