The reader will be guided through a process to review and break down their behaviors and beliefs so they can better understand how it has functioned in their life. Using an Applied Behavior Analysis format, behaviors are examined by identifying the antecedents, also referred to as "triggers", the behavioral components and the resulting consequences. You may be thinking at this point "forget it - this sounds like work!" That it is, but it's only one of the very important parts of the book! When people can identify their triggers, needs and fears they are better equipped to deal with each in a more specific and healthy manner. They then can be more understanding and patient with themselves as well as learn to experiment and make healthier decisions. About the Author

Cheryl VonderAhe has a unique awareness of eating disorders. She earned a BS degree in Nutritional Science and has worked since 1999 as a Behavior Analyst and Therapist for children with Autism. This experience, combined with her recovery from anorexia and bulimia, has helped her develop a strong understanding of eating disorders. Her goal is to share this information with others and help them find a quicker path to recover. VonderAhe recognizes the challenges involved, but encourages fun, humor and creativity along the way!
