About the Book

The Little Book of Wisdom is based on thirty years of practice in Hypnoanalysis and Psychotherapy. When seeking solutions for life's problems most people are poorly informed about the process to be used in the search. This book explains 10 steps that allow one to get to the roots of problems to find solutions. Some will be able to find their answers without additional help. If professional guidance is chosen to improve one's search for answers this book will help to make that process productive.

The reader is asked to take an inventory of life with a particular awareness of the role of fear, guilt, doubt and anger. Self hypnosis instructions are provided and regular practice is strongly suggested. Self contemplation is necessary to growth. The reader is also asked to evaluate her/his maturity level and spiritual growth activities. Examples of real cases are provided throughout the book.

Readers will be both challenged and uplifted by this information. Life's problems have solutions. Each of our lives is improved when any one of us conquers past wounds and is raised to a heightened awareness of possibilities for one's life.

About the Author

Dr. Scott began his study of life's problems in the ghettos of New York City. The pain and failure of inner city families motivated him to pursue a course of education that could explain why some dreams come true and others die before starting. Dr. Scott completed the Master of Arts in Religion from Harding Graduate School in Memphis, TN, and the Doctor of Education degree in Counseling and Psychology from the University of Memphis. He joined his father's counseling practice where he learned the art of Medical Hypnoanalysis. This common sense approach to Psychotherapy utilizes the relaxed and contemplative state of Hypnosis to revisit wounds of the past in the search for solutions to today's problems.

Dr. Scott is a past President and past Chair of the Board of Directors of the American Academy of Medical Hypnoanalysts. He has published 19 articles and 23 book reviews in the journal Medical Hypnoanalysis, including the only outcome-based research projects (2) that have been conducted on this modality. In addition to being a Psychologist, Dr. Scott has been a minister to youth and families and an adjunct professor. He is listed in Who's Who in Medicine and Healthcare and Who's Who in the World.

He has two adult children, both successful in their own right. Dr. Scott now resides in Boulder County, Colorado and practices in nearby Broomfield at the Brief Psychotherapy Institute of the Rockies. Dr. Scott is one of the true authorities on Hypnosis and Hypnoanalysis living today.
