About the Author

Will Kalinke was born in l928 on a Wisconsin farm; he lived through the Great Depression and became a teacher in a one-room rural school at the age of nineteen. In April of 2004, he bought Pride Manor in Tomahawk, Wisconsin, placing him within walking distance of Bill’s childhood home.
