HELL FIRE NOT A LITERAL FIRE

I was at All-Night service at Baden Powell on 19th February 2011, when I had this revelation from the Lord. It came as a word of Knowledge. “Hell fire is not a literal fire as some people think, but it is the state where souls will yearn for the word of God and will not have him. Their souls will be burning for the word of God, whom they cannot have. They will thirst for the living water, which is no longer available to them. They had the opportunity to drink from the fountain of life flowing with the living water, but they did not make use of that opportunity. Their souls will be restless and uncomfortable for eternity. Souls who do not accept the Lord Jesus Christ who came to die for the sins of mankind in order to bring us back to the Father will be burning for the word of God, thirsty for the living water, but it will be too late because they have been cut off from the presence of God forever.” The Spirit of God immediately drew my mind back to an experience I had around September and October 2009 after giving me this revelation and He told me that was how hell would be like. I understood him perfectly. This is something, which cannot easily be explained with words. After several years of disobedience to the call of God, even though I yearn to be in His presence all the time, the Lord began to give me this warning. While in my room, a quiet place or sometimes, even in a vehicle, the Lord would come around and ask me a question, which I did not respond. He gave me the same message after asking this question. He would ask, “Do you remember my servant Jonah?” Then He will continue, “During his time, I used the whale, your time I will use my Spirit.” After about a year or two and several months giving me the same message and I was still disobedient to the call and warnings of God, the Spirit of God indeed took me to hell and that was when my soul was very much disturbed and uncomfortable. For over a month, I could not feel happiness in my soul. My soul was restless throughout this period. Although, sometimes my soul felt sad when God told me to do something and I did not do it, but this was totally a different experience from what I used to know. I wept when I was in office, vehicles and most of the time when I was alone. It is difficult to explain with words what I really went through. I tried to look for a place to hide from the Lord but nowhere to run to or hide, little did I know my soul was in hell. “15And the kings of the earth, the great men, the rich men, the commanders, the mighty men, every slave and every free man, hid themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains, 16 and said to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb! 17 For the great day of His wrath has come, and who is able to stand?” “(Revelation 6:15-17) “29 For indeed the days are coming in which they will say, ‘Blessed are the barren, wombs that never bore, and breasts which never nursed!’ 30 Then they will begin ‘to say to the mountains, “Fall on us!” and to the hills, “Cover us!”‘“(Luke 23:29-30) It got to a point where I told Him to kill me because I was tired, after all He could do whatever He wished to do. However, He did not respond to my plea for death to come upon me. “6In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.” (Revelation 9:6) Therefore, immediately the Spirit of God reminded me of this experience and told me that was how hell would be like, I perfectly understood Him. Although, it is not going to be a torment by literal fire as we have been made to believe all these years, it is not something I would wish any person to experience for eternity. Physical torture can never be compared to this. Even though our Lord Jesus Christ was despised and rejected by men, chastised, stricken, smitten, wounded, bruised and afflicted, He was not heard complaining about any of the torture that was given to Him. “3He is despised and rejected by men, A Man of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him; He was despised, and we did not esteem Him. 4 Surely He has borne our griefs And carried our sorrows; Yet we esteemed Him stricken, Smitten by God, and afflicted.5 But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:3-5) The real pain, anguish and suffering came when the Father turned His back on Him after taking on the sins of men. “24 Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24) He cried out when He was cut off from the presence of the Father. His torment began when there was a separation of him, the Son from the Father. “46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani?” that is, “My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me?” (Matthew 27:46) As you can fathom, the knowledge of separation from the Father was more painful to our Lord Jesus Christ than the physical torture he went through. My experience in hell also tells me the torment of being separated from the Father cannot be compared to any physical torment any person can imagine of.
