About the Author

Joan Wright has lived her life sharing with others her passion for music, performance and working with children. Melody’s story is just another avenue for her to spread her love for music. She is a public educator with 25 years of experience and 33 years of experience with church music. Her passion for the fine arts is why she has been selected as Teacher of the Year two times during her career. Joan also sets aside time to present music workshops and author visits at schools and other public venues. She has many other books in the works and looks forward to reading them to her first grandchild who will make his debut soon. Christy Mullens is an awarded accomplished freelance artist, illustrator, designer, and musician who delights in sharing her passion for music and the arts. Her creativity has allowed her to be a fashion designer, pageant stylist and coach, choreographer and teacher. Her years of performing with the “International Sweet Adeline’s” prepared her to perform at Carnegie Hall. Christy now enjoys working along side Joan with their book presentations and helping with stage design and productions for their school.
