A couple working in advertising in New York City meet ,instantly fall in love and are married in 6 months. Neither family particularly approves of the marriage but they find a way to get it done. They have difficulty getting pregnant so after multiple miscarriages adopt .Soon after adopting they become pregnant but the baby is born in her 26th week and only survives a week. Again they become pregnant and again the baby is born in his twenty sixth week but survives with many life threatening complications .Meanwhile their adopted son gets reyes syndrome which attacks the liver and the brain and he is in a coma for six weeks and survives with a miriade of problems.This is the story of how they all survived with the help of real angels ,people doing the job of angels and unknown forces helping them thru their journey. Their oldest son dies at the age of thirty eight and the youngest son struggles with many health issues all of his life.

About the Book
This is a true story of life with one of God’s angels, my wife Lynda, put on this earth to teach by example, and how together we raised two mentally and physically handicapped children. It is the story of the many angels put in our path without whose help we could not have survived. It is a story of the heartache of the loss of two children and the loss of my wife of forty-seven years. It also includes some biographical anecdotes that give insights into Lynda and myself and some of the problems we incurred throughout our lives.
About the Author
Thom Barrett was born in the Bronx in 1937 when it was still fashionable. His grandfather achieved great wealth in the automobile business but lost it all by the end of World War II. Thom was an advertising executive in New York City, Atlanta, and Tampa and retired in 1995 from the same company he had worked for since 1967. At seventy-six, he is not the oldest first-time author in the family. His paternal aunt, Ursulla Barrett Johnson, was published for the first time at the age of eighty-two. Thom attended Mount Saint Michael High School in the Bronx and Iona College in New Rochelle, New York.
