About the Book

This book is about Annabelle Ant, a very hard-working, scheduled and organized ant. She loves her daily routine and becomes upset if her routine is disrupted by any little thing. She loves visitors and cooking for her neighbors on Animal Isle. She enjoys time in her garden, especially time tending to her many cacti. She is a wonderful friend, neighbor, listener and problem solver. She is not outspoken and is rarely confrontational. Her kind heart is full of unconditional love for everyone around her. She is not judgmental and does not like to pry into other animals’ personal lives. She isn’t afraid to speak when asked and she can use language to get her point and opinions out by phrasing her conversation to make her questioner think about his question or remark. This book and series is designed to address social situations, common or uncommon, by personifying animals and using their natural personalities as a basis for their human qualities. All animals interact with each other, usually using three characters in each book. There are no humans on Animal Isle., The animals will never know that humans exist. The characters on Animal Isle are self-sufficient and there is no money. Anything that the animals need, they can make.
