About the Author

It is my lived experience that more than qualifies me to write a book on this matter. I have lived the life of a homeless person addicted to drugs and alcohol with no senses of responsibility to anything but the next high. My lived experience is equal to degrees in criminal justice, social justice, social work, public health, alcohol, and other drug counseling and grief and loss counseling. Today I own Reconciliation Recovery Unlimited LLC. I am an advocate for recovery who speaks at colleges and on numerous platforms along with others to assist in peer recovery. Today I am happily married and have been for the past four years, and the relationship with my family and children is better than it has ever been. In Toledo, Ohio, I work as the lead case manager for New Concepts Philio Inc. I give back to the community that I have taken so much from. I am always available to speak, advocate for recovery because today I can say I got well!
