What is an an-al-o-gy? It’s a similarity between like features of two things which are quite different from each other, on which, a comparison may be based: the Analogy between the heart and a pump. Writers use analogies as a literary technique as a play-on-words or for the purpose of wit or amusement. What is a simile? A simile is (dictionary form) a figure of speech that makes a comparison showing similarities between two different things, the resemblance is drawn by use of “like” or “as” (they are) like two peas in a pod (he is) as a slippery as an eel.


About the Author

About the Author; Kerrin. P. Rowe was born in the outback area as it was then, in the gold mining town of Kalgoorlie; he later lived in the district of Norseman which is also a remote outback area of Western Australia. He was educated in the cities of Perth and Melbourne Victoria. Kerrin was employed in the plastics, printing ink, advertising and transport industries, in management and executive roles in these fields. He did also own several diversified businesses. Kerrin has had first hand experiencing in studying the culture, the idiom and slang and the unique humorous, eccentricity of the Aussie spoken language.
