About the Author
Hugh Oram is a media journalist living and working in Dublin.In addition to his work for newspapers and their websites,he has also been a regular contributor to RTÉ Radio 1 for the past 40 years.The first book that he edited was published in 1979 and the first book he wrote under his own name came out a year later,in 1980. Since then,he has written or contributed to 90 books,covering a wide variety of Irish historical subjects,from newspaper history to old cafés,restaurants and hotels.He has also written many local history books,covering many areas,not just in Dublin but throughout Ireland.In addition to his writings about Ireland,he has also written extensively about France.His wife Bernadette is a published poet.
