The vast country of China is involved in a civil war, and at the same time foreign governments are imposing trade restrictions that cause thousands to become slaves of narcotics. Then the island nation of Japan seizes the opportunity to invade its crippled neighbor.
In addition, Linn’s father and grandfather have taken opposite sides in this conflict and the cultural system that surrounds them. And Linn himself? All his life he has been spared from hardship, since his family are land owners, masters of poor dirt farmers, or peasants.
Under these circumstances, Wu Linn embarks on a mission to unite his estranged family, a goal that would try any adult, let alone an adolescent. He will meet many life threatening obstacles, and strange people on the way. Ruled at first by the environment around him, Linn gradually becomes the master of his own destiny. All of this, and Linn’s dedication to its accomplishment, become his “Incredible Journey!”

About the Author

Raymond White is a retired electrical maintenance worker, who lives with his wife Beverly in beautiful Cumberland Valley near Harrisburg PA., USA
He is a 1987 graduate of “The Institute of Children's Literature”. In fact, Wu Linn's story as a child was conceived as part of a school assignment, and then expanded to produce this novel.
“Wu Linn's Incredible Journey” starts out as a young adult historical adventure drama, but when Linn meets NiehSan things radically change. “But then, doesn't this happen every day in real life?” asks Raymond.
