About the Book

While working undercover, Steven Kendall has had many roles to play. His job entailed gathering evidence to prosecute animal and environmental activists involved in domestic terrorism, educating the public, and dealing with the media. Kendall refers to the role of the circus as ''Edutainment.''

The role he played for Ringling Bros. Circus (Feld Entertainment) was to offset the propaganda aimed at the circus industry by animal activists. He worked as a consultant to Feld Entertainment and wrote thousands of reports dealing with animal activists and environmental groups. Many of the reports Kendall wrote were used by the CIA.

He organized counter demonstrations nationwide under the umbrella group ''Putting People First.'' Feld Entertainment was able to utilize this group to offset the animal activist protestors.

Steven Kendall did numerous TV shows and news segments around the world. Everywhere the circus went so did Steven Kendall. The book deals with the life of a undercover private investigator who organized an operation with the financial backing of Feld Entertainment. Activist groups were shocked to learn they had been infiltrated by the circus industry. PeTA currently has a federal case in Virginia against Feld Entertainment. Any group opposed to PeTA and other animal activist groups poses a threat to them.

In the book, Kendall stated there were times of frustration because of the lack of cooperation among government agencies, which included the USDA, FBI and CIA.

About the Author

Steven Kendall grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He attended Mt. Lebanon Sr. High School and the University of Pittsburgh. He has a BA in Administration of Justice and Legal Studies. Steve Kendall has worked in every state as a licensed private investigator with the exception of Alaska. In addition Kendall has worked all over Canada, Europe, South America and the Middle East.

Kendall has enjoyed challenges throughout his life. After competing in his first marathon in 1984, Kendall has run 39 marathons. His favorite is the Boston Marathon in which he has run 8 times. In 1990, Kendall ran in the Goodwill Games in Seattle, Washington and finished 1st from Virginia and 23rd overall. He has also participated in several Ride and Tie World Championships. The Ride and Tie is an event that involves two people and a horse. The object of the event is to work together as a team and compete in a challenging course 40-50 miles of trails through mountains. The team must work together in order to finish the event in the fastest possible time.

One of Steven's goals is to compete in the Hawaiian Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii. This is just another personal goal in his life. He still enjoys running, biking, swimming and many other sports.

After writing his first non-fiction book, Kendall hopes to write more about other cases he has handled over the past 14 years. The book took Steven Kendall over 2 years to write and publish. The process was long and there were many obstacles that stood in the way. Kendall has been involved in law enforcement for 18 years and enjoys working on a variety of cases. He has specialized in domestic terrorism for over 14 years and has provided expert testimony in several cases dealing with animal and environmental terrorism. His efforts have drawn criticism from animal activists worldwide, but his persistence has paid off.

Steven Kendall has appeared on numerous TV shows including Court TV, Judge Judy, Montel and CNN. Kendall has appeared across the nation in many news segments and he continues to work as a licensed private investigator.
