This atlas portrays, through 213 maps with analytical text, three critical dimensions of sustainable development: longevity, education, and command of resources in terms of the specific indicators at the levels of districts, geographical zones, rural and urban areas and at gender level at a specific period of time.
The atlas serves an important tool for researchers, decision makers, planners and academia alike. It aims to present through maps and their analytical texts, a clear overview of current trends in the field of sustainable development in Lesotho. About the AuthorD.M. Bohra, M.A., PhD has served as the UNDP Advisor in African Countries. Dr. Bohra has specialized in sustainable development, environment, population and human development issues for almost three decades. From 1984 to 1988 he served as Thematic Mapping and Mapping Design Team Leader to the Population Cartography Commission of the International Geographical Union. Dr. Bohra has published books and papers on population, poverty and sustainable development. His papers have been published in various accredited national and international journals. |
