About the Author

Rob Wiens lives on the left coast of Canada in Victoria, BC. Raised in a house where there was never a loss for conversation, Rob quickly learned that the key to getting others to talk about themselves was simply to ask questions. With this knowledge, Rob found that he preferred to ask questions and sit back and listen, a practice that lead to many compliments about his "gift of conversation." It never dawned on others that he did little speaking, simply asking questions and then listening attentively.

Fast forward to today and you will most likely find Rob in the company of his best friend Cassie, with whom he broke one of his early rules: "I would not marry the kind of woman who would have me as a husband." The wonderful result of breaking this rule is his daughter Alexandria (a wickedly clever and slightly odd child), and what he is fond of describing as "the perfect life."

Rob has had a variety of jobs; he has been a restaurant manager, a caregiver in a mental hospital, was a realtor, retail store manager and a computer support technician. Rob was the first Marketing Director of ACD systems as well as being a private marketing consultant and software reseller. He currently works at a successful Publish on Demand Company (Trafford), and he spends any free time he has with his family, preferably one at a time on the back of his motorcycle.
