About the Author

Bernard A. Raum is an attorney who has been involved in the Domestic Relations and Divorce area for over nineteen years in Maryland.
He received his Juris Doctor in 1970 from the University of Baltimore School of Law. He has been a member of the Howard County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association, and is a past chairman of the Section of Family and Juvenile Law of the Maryland State bar Association. He is a consultant to the Rules Committee of the Maryland Court of Appeals in the area of family law. He has been a frequent lecturer in the area of family law for the Maryland Institute for the Continuing Professional Education of Lawyers (M. I. C. P. E. L. ), the state bar association's non-profit teaching organization.
Mr. Raum is also the author of MARYLAND DOMESTIC RELATIONS LAW, a professional legal text book on Maryland family law which has ben used throughout the state by lawyers and judges, and which was originally published by Lawyers Cooperative Publishing Company, later West Group.
