About the Author

Mickey McCoy has held several positions while in the airlines and the related air travel industry over a period of many years. She has flown more than 3,500 flights while in the airlines. She has spent many years doing extensive airline and air travel research to update this third edition of Airline Wings As A Career.

Mickey used an earlier edition of Airline Wings As A Career for seven years as an aid while teaching "Airline Careers" at the community college and high school levels in Southern California. She has a lifetime California vocational teaching credential from U.C.L.A. and has attended several aviation education workshops in San Francisco and Los Angeles. She joined the California Aerospace Education Association and the Red Baron Club.

Mickey has also written another nonfiction book, Birds, Our Fascinating Feathered Friends and is a member of the National Audubon Society.

She also researched, wrote, published and sold a 1,000 copies of a 12-foot long "Scroll of Historical Events"with carved wooden handles. It lists the most important events in history from 4 1/2 billion B.C. to the present.
