About the Book

This book taps into the heart and soul of anyone who has ever been in love. This includes both relationships that have succeeded and those that have soured. The poems are not only about love in relationships, but also love of nature, family, and life itself.

The author tries to incorporate a variety of styles of poetry, such as sonnets and romances, among others. She modestly admits that she is by no means an expert in these classical styles. However, they are definitely among her favorites and she wants to share them with you.

About the Author

E.M. Caballero is a native of Puerto Rico. She comes from the small town of Jayuya, but has spent most of her life in Amherst, Massachusetts. Although she is a first time author, she has enjoyed reading and writing poetry since she was very young. Writing poetry and putting her thoughts on paper has always been one of her favorite hobbies, and with the insistence and support of her family and friends she has decided to share part of her collection in this special book.

Acerca de la autora: Emma Martínez Caballero, nació un 16 de febrero en las montañas de Puerto Rico, en un humilde pueblito llamado Jayuya. Tuvo el honor de crecer entre 17 hermanos a quienes adora y trata de mantenerse en contacto frecuentemente. Vive en los Estados Unidos desde una temprana edad. Hoy reside en Amherst, Massachusetts con su propia familia. Madre de dos varones que son las estrellas que le guían y esposa de un maravilloso hombre a quien le agradece no sólo su incondicional cariño y su paciencia pero su constante apoyo. Escribió desde niña. Fue entonces, que descubrió la pasión que sentía por los poemas. Bajo la insistencia y apoyo de su familia y amistades, aquí muestra parte de su sencilla colección, donde ha tratado de hilvanar algunos sentimientos e inquietudes que tal vez, de alguna manera u otra, nos toca a todos. Ella, humildemente y con todo respeto y cariño, se complace en compartir con nosotros su poesía.
