About the Book

Our life is dependant on many man made features including numbers. We must have a national insurance number to get a job. We must have a telephone facility with a telephone number to connect ourselves to others around us. Common safe place for our money is a bank account with an account number. Cash shopping is difficult and dangerous so we must have a credit card with a number. We may be recognised by our family or friends as a person with a name, but on a planet of billions our identity as an individual is changing fast from a figure of a face or combination of names to a large serial number which will pin point our existence. Our story is growth. Growth is expansion needing adoptions and improvements. We keep looking for a better than better technology and ways in all fields of our life. Words and numbers are a basic ingredient in every part of our life. We use them to improve our technology and in return technology helped us to cope with their expansion. However, adoption and improvement is a constant process. Ever expanding numbers, in volume as well as in quantity, are easy to store on a computer file, but difficult to remember as they always were. The method or the idea presented in the book Words4Numbers is based on the principle that we have a huge capability of storing words and sentences in our memory. If we can adopt a method of changing numbers into words, it can make it lot easier for us to remember many important numbers in the same way as we remember and can recall few sentences someone just said or few lines of a book we have just read.

About the Author

I was born in Pakistan in a rural village surrounded by green fields. I love and enjoy natural beauty in all its forms. After primary education I moved Karachi with my parents where I studied to graduation level, but before gaining a professional degree I visited London where marriage made me settled permanent. For 15 years I worked as electrician and a gas engineer in London continuously gaining qualifications and experience in the fields. For last few years I am living in west Yorkshire working happily as a technician in a local college. I have great respect for educational institutions and education itself with a specific interest in mathematics and science subjects. I also have deep interest in poetry and have written many poems myself. I started writing in English recently and my first poem in English "The Creation" is published in a standard book in England. I am glad to have developed an idea in the form of Words4Numbers which can transform the way of remembering numbers for some if not many.
