About the Book

This is the book we were expecting on the international artist Leonardo Pereznieto, featuring his sculptures, paintings and drawings.

Pereznieto's exquisite sculptures and paintings play upon our disavowed dreams, sensibilities and longings to persuade us to return to some of the romantic ideals and motifs that modern art has, for the most part, forsaken. Romanticism, but with a difference. His art couples a nostalgia for romanticism with an acute sense of the needs of modernity.

Leonardo Pereznieto has exhibited in prominent galleries of cities such as Paris, Florence, London, Montecarlo, New York, Los Angeles, Mexico, etc. and has delivered talks about his art all over the world including the Celebrity Centre Florence and the University of Michigan. He received the Mozart Prize for the Arts in Nice, France and was awarded by the International Art Festival in New York.

Together with writer Claudia Moscovici, Leonardo is cofounder of the cultural movement of postromanticism.

Postromanticism is a contemporary artistic movement that places passion at the center of human life, art and poetry. In painting and sculpture it emphasizes representational art that depicts the beauty of human figures and evokes sensuality and the richness of human emotions.

This is a 50 page soft-cover book containing 23 color and 19 black and white pictures of Pereznieto's art, presented by Moscovici's writings.

Leonardo Pereznieto ha expuesto en importantes galerías de ciudades como París, Florencia, Londres, Montecarlo, Nueva York, Los Ángeles, México, etc. Y ha impartido conferencias en renombrados foros de varios países, tales como el Centro de Celebridades de Florencia, la Universidad de Michigan y Cintermex en Monterrey. También es co-fundador del movimiento cultural del post-romanticismo junto con la escritora Claudia Moscovici.

El postromanticismo es un movimiento artístico contemporáneo que trae la pasión de vuelta a la Tierra; encuentra belleza, sensualidad y un significado en nuestras vidas cotidianas, reales y contingentes, y pone a las mujeres, a la par de los hombres, en el centro de una inspiración y creación artística mutua.

Este es un libro de 50 páginas, en pasta blanda, que contiene 23 fotos a color y 19 en blanco y negro del arte de Pereznieto, presentado por los emotivos escritos de Moscovici.

About the Author

Leonardo Pereznieto is co-founder of the new cultural movement of postromanticism, together with Professor Claudia Moscovici of the University of Michigan. His work has a life-like quality, which is nevertheless full of imagination and fancy; a delicate sensual touch; a passionate sense of the spirituality of earthly existence.

Has exhibited his work in many prominent galleries of cities like Florence, London, Paris, Montecarlo, New York, Los Angeles, Mexico, Monterrey, etc.

Leonardo Pereznieto es cofundador del nuevo movimiento cultural del post-romanticismo junto con la profesora Claudia Moscovici. Su obra contiene una expresión de vida aunada a la imaginación, con un toque de sensualidad; un sentido pasional de la espiritualidad en la existencia terrenal.
