About the Author

Aurora Ortiz de Halgunseth is a native of Mexico City and a graduate of Mexico's National School of Physical Education. She taught Physical Education and coached track and Basketball. Ultimately, she became one of Mexico's top educational sports directors. In the United States she earned a Master Of Science Degree in Physical Education from Bridgewater University in Massachusetts. Aurora has been married to Dr. Gary Halgunseth for 33 years and has three children: Linda, Erik, and Pilar. She is currently living in El Puerto de Santa Maria in Spain.

Aurora Ortiz de Halgunseth nació en México, Distrito Federal. Obtuvo su titulo de Maestra en la Escuela Nacional de Educación Física (E.N.E.F.). Enseñó E.F. y fue entrenadora de Atletismo y Baloncesto en la Preparatoria #4 dependiente de la UNAM. Llegó a ser Subdirectora Nacional de los Juegos Deportivos Escolares. En los Estados Unidos obtuvo su Maestría en Ciencia de la Educacíon Física en la Universidad de Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Aurora ha estado casada por 33 años con El Dr. Gary Halgunseth y tiene tres hijos: Linda, Erik, y Pilar. Actualmente está viviendo en el Puerto de Santa Maria en España.
