About the Author

Reg Renaud spent 30 years in the field developing methods and equipment to investigate the geotechnical and environmental conditions of various types of sites all over the world. Based on his broad experience in these fields, he applied his talents to the investigation and compliance issues at municipal solid waste landfills. With the advanced technology applied to keeping landfills in compliance he developed the next generation in Bioreactors using Steam Injection methods. This technology will allow landfills to hold 10 times more waste and produce 10 times more energy than past landfills. If every landfill in the United States uses the Steam Injection technology today, we will be the first generation to control our own refuse in our life time and not leave it for the next generation.
