About the Book

Residents of Graveyard Lane is a compilation of grave sites from a number of graveyards and churchyards from around the world. Some are of the 'rich and famous', and others are just the 'man in the street'. Each entry has a photograph of the grave taken by the author. Listed also is the grave text from the headstone together with an author's comment. The comment is a brief description about the deceased person, of their family or another historical pointer, in order that the reader goes away having learnt something about the deceased or what they did in their living time on earth.

The author believes that the deceased can 'live again' just by bringing their name to the attention of those alive.

About the Author

Kenneth P Williams is a native of Liverpool and has lived in the North West of England all his life. Married with two grown-up children, Ken is a retired bank manager who spends part of his time in his life long passion of Scouting, where he is the recipient of the Silver Acorn for outstanding services. His other passion is genealogy and it is from here that this book has its roots. Many hours searching for elusive ancestors in cemeteries in differing weather conditions resulting in his interest in the numerous remembrances found there, and differing designs and symbols that they have.
