About the Book

George grew up in Newbiggin by the sea, a small fishing village on the Northumberland coast. He had no idea the power a golf ball he would find as a young boy would influence his life so much.

With his brother Tom at his side, George becomes involved in a critical tug of war between good and evil on a day when his caddying responsibilities take a back seat to the biblical challenges of two Angelic teams...the end of the world is in his golfing hands and he must confront his own fears to survive.

The ball's master is no other than God himself and a heavenly mistake allows the ball to fall to earth and find its way into the possessi'n of a young, innocent caddy by the name of George. Unbeknown to George, there's a power struggle that needs to be resolved between the angelic teams of Good and Evil that threatens the very existence of mankind itself.

The threat stems from an ancient pact that must not be broken and requires two ancient friends to recover the ball with unconditional faith. Unfortunately the two friends are now arch enemies and the ball's recovery is harder than originally conceived, thanks to the faithful intervention of George.

About the Author

Mark Fairbairn was born in the mining capital of the world; the small and unique town of Ashington in Northumberland, England. He grew up and was educated in the neighbouring village of Newbiggin by the sea where he learned to play golf, to a half-decent standard, on one of the oldest courses on the planet under the watchful eye of his father and grandfather.

His imagination began to stray from the guided path after attending a junior sports scholarship at the impressive Eton College. He quickly realised there was a whole world waiting to be discovered and from then on he's continued his quest to familiarise himself with it.

He's currently employed as a manager in the civil service where he endures the daily pain of democratic bureaucracy and yearns for a world of logic and common sense.

In his spare time he enjoys travelling, the odd sociable game of golf and writing a series of books about his golfing experiences.
