The Author lost both his daughters to Cancer and his wife was also a sufferer so he has a deep interest in Cancercare. As a choral singer and healer of many years he has long sensed the special beauty of women's voices and felt drawn to the innate dignity of woman hood. And the simple joy of having many women as friends.

He feels that a general loss of sensitivity has crept into everyday life in the overall sense and is giving rising generations a hardening against pure Love. Together with an inability to respond for example to classical music.

A lasting impression was left on him of a strange experience with a ray from the sun whilst walking the Libyan Desert in 1941. It is quite extraordinary that so little attention is given to the simple fact that the entire existence of all life derives from the Light and Power of the Sun.

Hence the poem beginning "Why am I sunny Jim mummy" and the powerful Invocation recognising its transmission of Love constantly available to all.

About the Author

Eric P Gladwin, now 90 years of age lives in Thame, Oxfordshire. He is a widower with 3 adult sons, plus 7 grand children.

His study walls are papered with 46 honours awards, received during his writing of 485 poems and prayers over 47 years. A member of the National Federation of the Spiritual Healers, also a choral singer. He supports various organisations recognising unity of all Creation embracing ley lines of the Gai concept, the collective consciousness of the universe and the great beauty of the major Faith especially Christianity.
