No Place like Home It’s funny when you get older that when once you were so bold that this all changes as you get older I find that the things that once I thought were just a walk in the park seems like a trek up a mountain side and time spent away from our safe place seems like forever I don’t have and answer to this all I know for sure is time away from home is and experience not looked forward to and a trip some where is locked to a trip back home why is this I wish I knew By Donald Hoelscher

About the Book
This book is the result of many experiences that occurred during the authors seventy years of living. The various thoughts he expressed cover everything from birth to death and happiness to sadness.
About the Author
The author is Donald Hoelscher at the age of 70 he has experienced many of the trials and tribulations this life has to offer as a husband, father, friend and veteran. His home is in the little town of Taos, just outside of Jefferson City, were he raised his two daughters. The same home in which he lost his loving wife of more than 25 years and his mother who was suffering from the effects of Alzheimer’s, she died within three days after the loss of his wife, which was a very hard year. When his wife died he started to put his feelings, thoughts and emotions into writing. Thanks to the encouragements from family, friends, teachers and other acquaintances, whom have read his poetry, they expressed the need to get his poetry published; he then decided to write this book. His expressions in each poem dramatize the many experiences from his 70 years, everything from happiness, sheer joy, sadness, family births, and the deaths of family & friends.
