About the Book

This is Sarah's first published work, which originated as a mere class project. Upon reading the story, her school Principal, Ms. Billie Miller, encouraged her to enter it into a local literary fair, eventually elevating the book's status to the charitable work it is today. Sarah would like to thank her family, teachers and friends for their support, and especially those who have assisted her with the founding of “Volumes of Hope” for giving her the opportunity to combine two of her greatest hobbies: writing and helping others.

About the Author

Sarah Fine is a high school student with a passion for philanthropy. She hails from Coral Springs, Florida, with her parents, Drs. Judith Johnson-Fine and Randy Fine, and two brothers Charlie and Paul Fine. Sarah's hobbies include acting, playing soccer, drawing and both reading and writing poetry. At her school, she holds multiple leadership positions in clubs like Student Government, Drama and National Honor Society. Sarah's philanthropic nature shines through in several community service endeavors, especially “Sarah's Shoebox”, a project that she founded at age twelve. Since then, she has successfully donated over two hundred and fifty pairs of shoes to local charities. More recently, she has focused her efforts on her true passion, helping children. Through a countywide leadership program, Sarah donates her time to teach and entertain students at a low-income elementary school. She also coaches a soccer team for kindergarten-age girls, and has assisted a local temple's summer camp. With such dedication to aiding youth, it seemed only natural to Sarah that she would donate the funds of her book to struggling children in the community.
