Paranormal Pursuits

We all sat in the group talking and soaking up what we just witnessed. After about fifteen minutes, we saw another group coming up a set of stairs at the end of the hallway. As they past, their flashlights shined on the staircase. What we saw next, shocked us all. The entire group (my friend and I included), saw a full bodied apparition. That’s right, the “holy grail” of investigation. My mind was racing a mile a minute. We all asked each other if we saw what we saw. I then asked my friend if he caught this thing on video. His response was a simple “Hell Yeah”. Let me give you the best explanation of what we saw. To all of us it looked like a young woman with long hair. She looked like she was naked (as I would hope) or she had on very little clothing. It also looked as if she was sitting on her left hip with her lags wrapped behind her. This was an amazing site. As I sat there collecting myself, something in my brain started to ask questions. Was it real? Why did we all see it at the same time? I thought to myself, there had to be some type of an explanation. Well, I was going to find out. I got up from my chair and made my way down to where the apparition was spotted. I told my friend to keep the video camera on me at all times. Some of the others in the group told me not to go towards it, because I would scare it away. Well, as an investigator, I had to see for myself. Another member of the group, a guy named Mike, accompanied me down the hallway. When we got to the staircase, we found the cause of the apparition. It turns out that there was some plastic sheeting that had been crumpled up by the stairs. If you shined your light at a certain angle behind the plastic, it does make it look like the figure of a woman. We were able to recreate it a few times. Sharon told us that the woman was real and that we scared it away. Well, she can think what she likes. There is a saying in the paranormal business, when in doubt throw it out. So that’s what we did. To say that we were disappointed would be an understatement. However, for a few moments, we had some excitement..
