About the Book

In the year 1902, in the temperate forests of Tasmania, a young Tasmanian Tiger is captured by poachers in the night and sold to a zoo in Hobart. In his time in captivity, Kaii catches the attention of a German Zoologist named Steven Guiller, who takes it upon himself to study Kaii and learn from him so he can better understand Kaii's kind and in turn help the species that is rapidly declining under the oppressing claws of human ignorance. Now Kaii and Guiller must learn about each other's worlds and team up to try to change the minds of the Tasmanian government to drop the bounty on the species.

About the Author

I've always had a fascination with story telling. The fact that one can have the power to change lives and history with a single story, whether it is true or not fascinates me. From the great oral stories, to the first written works, all the way to the mediums we have today: Film, theater and video games all carry on that tradition and I have always wanted to be a part of that. My love for animals and the worlds they inhabit is equal to my passion for writing, so I've decided to make my first official work a combination of the two. I've written some shorts in the past in school and got some good praise for it, but nothing compares to this. I was born in the Netherlands and moved to the united states when I was 5, so I guess adventure is my nature. Most of my inspiration comes from traveling, whether it be exploring the the grass lands of Kenya or hiking a freezing cold mountain in Tasmania.
