As I travel around the United States and Canada, as a safety consultant and motivational speaker for schools, colleges, universities and private industry, I am amazed at the information found on cooking located in bookstores and restaurants. So, Pull up a chair and dig in! Everything that you would want to know about popcorn is chock-full of tidbits about one of America's favorite snack foods. Why write a book about popcorn? Because I love popcorn, but more importantly, like a student in a classroom, I had a need to learn more about one of my favorite snacks. This book does more than just explain how to pop corn. This book can be used by teachers as a history lesson, be used in home economics, science classes, math classes, agricultural classrooms, etc. Hopefully this book will be used as another fun tool to educate children. Everyone loves popcorn! It is my hope that you enjoy this book. Part of the money received from selling of this book will go to cancer research in honor of my wife Linda Podojil who passed away from cancer in 2011.

About the Author
Mr. Podojil has forty-one years of experience in the industrial safety, health, and environmental field. He is a certified hazardous materials manager (CHCM), certified hazard control manager (CHCM), registered environmental assessor (REA), registered environmental professional (REP), accredited safety auditor (ASA), certified utility safety administrator (CUSA), certified professional environmental auditor (CPEA), and certified homeland security manager–level III (CHS–III). Mr. Podojil has been listed as an honored professional in the national registry of “Who’s Who in America.” He is a published author of motivational books and currently writes safety articles of interest for several national magazines and is a requested lecturer for various national organizations as a motivational speaker at professional development conferences. Mr. Podojil’s first book, entitled I Am a Teacher, motivational quotes for teachers, was published and has been enthusiastically received by a myriad of teachers’ organization throughout the United States and Canada. His second book Inspirational Quotes for Teachers is published by Simple Truths Publishing Company. Mr. Podojil has been featured on several television specials for his positive contributions to the safety abatement endeavors of industrial technology/arts programs in several states.
