This isn’t a moment I want to rely on the aid of spirits, only I could unlock the door behind my own conundrums. I must continue to find my key and when I do, I will unlock the gates of my soul’s heaven, where I could be an angel floating above clouds of sanity and fulfillment. I dropped the flowers off at the front door, these beautiful tulips deserved to be in the memory of the officer who gave his life protecting others Not for some indecisive little girl who I barely even know. How foolish of me to catch feelings for a girl whom I barely know, I hate myself for this. I no longer wish to consult myself to the Ghost of Love; she managed to assist in ruining my self-esteem and pride. It took me a few hours but I continue walking until I was home, with no music to listen during my travel I have no choice but to think about what just happened, this is definitely another all-time low. As I open the front door to my house with my feet sore from all the walking I’ve endured today, I fall to the floor and lay on the ground in my room. I grab a pillow and squeeze it within the rage I bottled with my fists; I need to exert my emotions as force on something inanimate, something that won’t run, something that won’t cry or scream. This just isn’t what I wanted in life, such disappointment in so little time. I hate how the death of my father and the rejection of the girl who I love share a different but yet substantial amount of pain within me. A single tear drops from my left eye; this is the moment when I begin to hate life. I feel my passion for things slipping away from my grasp. I hate everything, if it cannot bring me happiness than it’ll bring me sorrow. I get up and close the blinds and turn off the lights in my room. I wish to indulge in complete darkness...

About the Book
The Dispassionate follows the life of an individual who has been destined to a disastrous fate. If he’ll be taken through his lowest point emotionally, physically and telepathically, forced to draw upon past experiences, will he be able to sculpt an alleviating and paradisiacal existence? Will he be able to find the delicate balance between true peace and power? Maybe a spiritual guidance could aid in his conflict with. His fear is only met by the inquisition of his own bravery.
About the Author
The Stone Mountain, Georgia raised and now native of Savannah, Georgia author Kassim Hariri, indugled many of his younger years within his facisnation of Japanese cartoons and the fantasy realms of video games as a child. Through his years of growth and adolences, Kassim found himself in the balance of fictional and realistic events that shaped his personality as well as perception of the world. At 25 Kassim’s hobbies include being an anime enthusiasist, food connoisseur, science fiction writing, hip-hop vocalling as well as archery and gaming. An English major from Savannah State University as well as a bartender at a local resturant, Kassim Hariri’s hybrid style writing comes from his experience with the people he encounters as well as the ever changing vision of media and culture.
