I hope when (and if) you read this book; you will understand that what I write to you is the truth. For those who question the facts in this book, I invite you to study and research for yourself. The Bible, that is. I feel better about who I am as a person, but I'll let you know I'm not alone. We have all come a long, long way from where we were in my childhood days. For now, I may not be loved in the same manner that I love, but I am accepted in a better way. I thank God for the great changes that have been made. If I may recollect even more memories, when I was a child and even as a young man, we were not allowed to look upon a White woman, let alone touch one. But now, Blacks and Whites are marrying each other. The fact proves that we have made great strides in the race issue. I know some people say "just let the past stay in the past. Why bring up the past?" Sometimes we fail to realize that it takes the past to show us just how blessed we really are. When we look back and see where we come from and see where we are, at times we can determine where we are going! So, yes sir and yes ma'sm, this is history that cannot be hidden. Just consider how old the Bible is. Are we to just let it lie dormant and not speak of it anymore, just because it is aged? I say emphatically, no! We need to read and study and research it more and even more. You know? Maybe that's what is wrong. We have allowed the Bible to lie too much on shelves, collecting dust, instead of picking it up and reading it. You see, this is really Black History in the Bible. It's not a fairy talle but real history. This book is not intended to exclude White people from the Bible, but rather it is to bring attention to and include Black people in the Bible. Wouldn't you agree that is only fair? So, let us all live there together so that we can live here together.
