Becoming the Woman God Intended Me to Be

PREFACE There will come a time in your single life if it is not this moment that you have an understanding that you are set aside for God’s Glory. This will not always resonate in your mind especially when you have a desire to have a relationship with someone. I realized that during periods of my young adult life, especially in high school, I didn’t get asked out on dates. It was really hard for me and had an impact on how I began to see myself as a woman. When I was younger many people would tell me that I was beautiful, (outer) and that I could have any man I wanted. That was a straight lie!!! I learned the hard way as time passed that the other person has to desire to invest in you the same as you desire to invest your time, energy and emotions into them. I had to learn to value the guys who didn’t want to date me because they were looking for more than what I was willing to give physically. I learned to respect the guys who were honest enough to say things like “you are not the dating type, you are the marrying type”. I didn’t see the value then but I truly appreciate those guys who had the heart to be honest about where they were in life and where I didn’t fit into their life. I learned to value the way that my dad raised my sisters and I to conduct ourselves as ladies at all times. That even when I was trying to fit in with the crowd, I stood out because of my character and conduct that spoke volumes to those who had public view of my life. Even when I went to the military straight from High school, God placed special people in my life to keep me accountable to the way I was raised. They were the gate keepers who keep the hawks and hounds at bay as I tried to discover being an adult on my own. I had to learn fast and the hard way about making myself to assessable to men, who wanted nothing more than sex from me that one and done kind of thing. I learned so much about learning to respect my body because I allowed it to be used by others too many times with nothing to show for my efforts but failed or no relationship. The root cause to my pain was me trying to be someone other than who I was called to be in life. To each person who purchased this book, I don’t think you will be disappointed if you are seeking direction, remember the word of God says we are overcomers through our testimonies. So this is a testimony of all God has done in my life, choices I had to make and changes I applied to become the woman I am today. I pray that the words will speak to you and your spirit and move you to take action on the areas that God is speaking to you for change in the same manner he called me to change. Remember we are 2 Peter 2:9 –“We are called out of Darkness into his marvelous light”… This book is one that is real, transparent and possible more direct than other books you will read and it an act of obedience to God on my part. It is not written with the intent of bragging, airing laundry or meeting others expectations. It is written for those that are seeking because they feel a need for transitioning and transformation but unsure of how to begin. Just make the choice to follow Christ Jesus, to trust him, and obey his word. . The beauty of this book is I know I was called to write it, I am honored that God chose me to reveal, expose and share how God removed me from all the things that was hindering me from becoming the woman he had called me to be in order for me to truly become the woman of God I am today. No one is too broken, to be healed. No one is too sinful to be delivered. No one is to anything that God will not love them, heal them and deliver them through Christ Jesus. In order for you to know the love, experience the love, healing and deliverance I have grown to cherish, you must make a choice, you have to make up in your mind – Enough is Enough of living outside the will of God.
