About the Book
The International Planning Organizations directory contains more than 1,000 agencies, associations, institutes, schools and societies interested in urban and regional planning.
The directory was initiated in the early 1980s as a reference for planners seeking to contact professional international planning organizations. The original directory has been used by the American Planning Association (APA) International Division and other organizations as the primary reference for international planning contacts.
The new version of the directory has been expanded to include additional non-professional and multi-national planning organizations along with more extensive Internet references, brief descriptions and flags. International organizations are arranged by country from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe.
Multinational organizations include such references as the Asian Planning Schools Association, the Commonwealth Association of Planners, the European Council of Town Planners and many more. Additional support has been provided by the International Society of City and Regional Planners (ISoCaRP).
