About the Book

This book is compiled of poetry from pain and sorrow to joy and victory. I believe that there is liberation and healing through the poetry God has given me to write. Many of the poems in this book are about real experiences that I have had in my life and also about the lives of others. Most of these poems are about true experiences. Then there are a few poems of birthday celebrations of loved ones and friends that are dear to my heart. This is a book that all can relate to no matter what the age, race, or gender. I am convinced that to every problem there is a solution. No one is ever a loser until one makes up their mind to quit. It is when you are hardest hit that you must not quit, Life is full of ups and downs and valleys and peaks, but the one thing you must not do and that is to give up on you. Finally the totality of what this book is about is telling you to never stop loving you. Do not give up on your self, life is a precious gift and it is worth living. What ever you do please don't stop loving you.

About the Author

This book is written by Phyllis Wiley who is a native of North Carolina, the single mother of two daughters and two lovely granddaughters. I feel compelled to share a fraction of my life experiences through the gift of poetry which has been given to me by God. I believe we all can share our experiences of life in an effort to help someone else make it through especially after we realize just how imperfect we all are.

I believe that if you have overcome any type of difficulty in your life it is only to help someone else. I was present on the scene at the age of 14 years old when my father was shot. This is when life began to really introduce itself to me at that time. The one thing that is so great is that although he was at the point of death. I got a chance to witness the true miracle working power of God during this tragic time of my father's life. He did survive this tragedy, he lived several years afterwards. His survival gave me hope and I learned a lot about the love of God and the power of prayer.

Last but not least I am well acquainted with grief but full of compassion and my sincere desire for publishing this poetry is to help someone else hold on to hope and reach out to help others make it through life . I believe we can all achieve this goal with the spirit and the love of God and the wisdom that he gives each of us to live in this life while here on earth in our temporary spaces. We are just passing through, what are your contributions in life. Whose life have you touched? From my heart to yours, peace and love to you always.
