Everyone one in the alphabet was happy. But then it happened!!! The letter “A” started saying, “I am first, I should have an important sound of my own!” Believe it or not the sound caught on and all of his ABC friends were calling Anthony, “AAAHH.” Anthony explained, “ When I am by myself in a word I want to be called ‘AAAHH’.” Anthony enjoyed his new sound so much that he decided to change on more thing. He wanted a new favorite color. Anthony was determined to make his new color unique. He chose, Amazing Avocado. ... Feeling lonely Anthony invited his neighbor “E” to join him, her name was Ethel and then I, O, and U. All became best friends.

About the Book
One day, the letters begin to disagree about their sounds. The first letter in the alphabet, A, decides to start his own club. His name is Anthony and claims that his sound should be “aaahhh.” He chooses his color to be that of the amazing avocado. Feeling lonely, Anthony asks E, whose name is Ethel, to join his club. Her sound is “eugh,” and her color is the elegant eggshell. Later, I or Ignatius, joins the club with his sound, “i-i-i.” The color he picks is the incredible indigo. Then the curious O follows Ignatius. Her sound is “aw-w-w,” and opulent bronze becomes her color. The last one to join the club is U with his sound “uh-uh-uh.” His favorite color is unbelievable umber. The five members—A, E, I, O, U—call their club the Vowel Club. I am orginally from Pennsylvania and I now live in Wesley Chapel, Florida with my husband Robert. I retired from teaching after 35 years. I now do substitute teaching and tutoring. I enjoy being with my grandchildren Ryan and Brooke. My hobbies are reading and writing stories.
