“I am being honored with a book award for my children's craft book entitled, Taylor's No-Sew Doll Clothes Patterns, Volume 1. It is the 2013 Bronze Medal Winner in the category of Crafts/Hobbies/Collecting for the Now Living Book Awards. The Living Now Book Awards recognize the year's best lifestyle books and their creators.
This is not only a validation of my work, but a great tribute to Trafford Publishing and their staff for their efforts in making my vision a reality worthy of this recognition.”
Christine Taylor, author of Taylor's No-Sew Doll Clothes Patterns
“I just want you to know how very pleased and impressed I am with all the Trafford staff that has helped me to publish this book.
I feel like the people listen, pay attention, get back to me with clear directions in a timely way, share their expertise and advocate on my behalf.
I would not hesitate to recommend Trafford to anyone else considering self publishing. From my initial contact to present, everyone has been great to interact with.”
Maryfran Stulginsky, author of Going for the Christmas Tree
“I am totally happy and feel so accomplished and proud now but definitely could not have completed this without Trafford’s author assistants.… All of the people that assisted me were professional and always got back to me and followed through. A truly great experience.
My very best experience with Trafford was the wonderful and genuine personalities of the staff that stood by me and assisted me in every way. The quality of materials, photo's website and all Trafford had produced has been very top shelf in my opinion.
I have shared my experiences with many new authors and potential writers for I explained the process and said how Trafford backs you up and with you throughout the process of your publishing.Yes, I highly recommend Trafford for myself and others for any publishing now or in the future. I thank you Trafford!"
John F. DeCosta, author of "The Eastside Kid"
“Trafford along with other publishers contacted me and after speaking with Sheena Marie and listening to what Trafford had to offer I chose to go with Trafford. After that, from the very beginning they have guided me step by step with my book. I have never been left out to dry so to speak. The experience has been pleasant from the very start. Trafford has worked with me in every way to help me find a way to make my book both fit my budget and yet be a successful attractive book that the public will want to buy! My book is beautiful! The quality is superb and the editors have done a fantastic job! I could not have asked for anything better! I am writing a second book as this book is a two part sequel and Trafford will most definitely be my publisher for my second book as well. I would highly recommend Trafford for anyone who is looking to self-publish their book! You will get wonderful service from start to finish with professional guidance with people who are very pleasant to work with!”
Sheila Melvin, author of "He Served, We Served"
"I chose to publish with Trafford because they are the pioneers in on-demand publishing. They really know their stuff.
I have not been at all disappointed after publishing two books with Trafford. Two things stand out as far as working with them. The first is the way a writer is given individualized service from start to finish. At no point in the publishing process was I left dangling without someone to hold my hand and guide me through the process. I have a journalism degree, but the publishing end of book writing is daunting to say the least. I felt safe in the hands of experts who guided me through the process.
The second is the fact that even after the books are in print, or “live” as they call it, I’m not left with boxes of books to try to market on my own. Trafford knows that end too and can help me get the book known and seen to large numbers of influential people.
I had the ideas for the book cover designs, but I am a word artist, not a visual artist. Trafford’s design team did an outstanding job on both covers and I receive comments continually on the designs. When I tell people I’ve written two books the most frequent questions I’m asked are, “Who designed the covers?” and “Who published your books?” Publishers matter. People pay attention to publishers more than I ever realized.
I speak to a number of authors and always recommend Trafford to them. I am impressed with Trafford and highly recommend it to other writers. Trafford’s process is also speedy. My second book went from a Word document to a book in print in three weeks! If I’d used the traditional publishing method it would have probably taken a year.
There will always be naysayers who find fault with any enterprise, but I would ask future authors to consider available options and define their objectives. I think they will find Trafford to be an exceptional deal and their book will be a quality product.
Please do post this to your website, Trafford!
A very satisfied customer now and in the future."
Merica Saint John, author of "Dying to Live" and "Let The Seed Fall"
“I was amazed at the speed and efficiency of the whole process. In less than a month from the time that I submitted my manuscript, I had a copy of my book in my hands. Further, the quality of the paper, the printing, the appropriate, very readable font size is wonderful… I would absolutely recommend Trafford to anyone who wishes to exercise control over his/her manuscript, have a quality product and experience a pleasant working relationship with courteous, accommodatingpeople.”
Deanna Spingola, author of The Ruling Elite: A Study in Imperialism, Genocide and Emancipation
“I very much appreciated the well-organized and efficient pattern of guidance from Trafford staff as we moved through the manuscript preparation and publication process. I was attracted by the way in which I was not forced into a cookie-cutter format but was able to make my own editorial decisions…I have already recommended Trafford to other authors.”
Paul Irion, author of That Far Land We Dream About
