About the Author

As owner of The Community Book Store, a catalog book retail company, editor of several unpublished works, mother and former naval officer, Ms. Natalie Mckenzie is motivated by a need to help enhance life and learning within America. Children fuel her ambition as they are our future, so she strives to start a tradition of giving rewards for hard work. Further, Ms. Mckenzie wants to prove that poetry in America is alive and well, and after reading the work of the Children of NYC, it is hard to argue that poetry doesn’t speak to ordinary people.
