About the Author
Eddie Whitham was born in Wangaratta, Victoria, Australia in 1943. His father, an Australian soldier, married Eddie’s mother Esther in Palestine in 1941. After his family migrated to Israel in 1967, Eddie stayed in Australia, married and settled in Tamworth NSW where he conducted a business for more than 35 years. Since1973 Eddie and Barbara have travelled extensively to all continents and across Australia. Leaving school at the age of 15, he is largely self-educated and describes himself as a compassionate capitalist and world watcher. Assisting migrants and refugees to settle in his community, as well as travelling extensively, has enabled Eddie to glean first hand insights into other cultures. He has been an advocate for refugees and migrants spanning more that thirty years. Being active in his own large worldwide family and the affairs of his city, he is a well-known and respected citizen. He took to writing twenty years ago, but only recently put the finishing touches to this collection of thirty nine stories. He writes literally the way he speaks and has a refreshing approach to story telling. His second book UNCLE EDDIE’S TWIST-ED TAILS has been self published and is available from the author.
