About the Book
This is a fictitious story of a boy that was born illegally during prohibition and protected from Social Services by most all he came into contact with. Around the age of seven he laid eyes on the first child he had ever seen and became her guardian through prohibition, depression, Second World War the golden years and the jaws of an alligator. At the end of prohibition and the death of the mid wife that had delivered him he learned he had a brother and set out with the little girl a dog and a wagon to find him. Avoiding Social Services caused them to separate but they found each other thirteen years later in German occupied France. A sadistic Nazi cost her a foot and a career but Jacks devotion became his downfall.
About the Author
The author is a plumber and a fifty-year member of local 46 Toronto. He sold his property in Ontario to spend more time with his children living on Vancouver Island and to avoid the snow, which he now misses along with the one son remaining in Ontario. Sipping Whisky is a cross section of the first book he wrote but never published. It was called Florida in that??! ’OK’
