This book is great. It is not a book that has to be read from beginning to end. Each piece of writing is short and powerful. You can read a chapter at night or pick it up at anytime during the day. This book offers a lot of material for discussions and information to compare and contrast various epics. I have my favorites poems in this text and after reading, "Epics of a Man": you will have your favorites also. I compare the writings to that of prominent poets. I see this book getting a lot of recognition. The writings of Freddie McSears Jr. reveal topics that are sensitive. He writes about himself, but you will reflect your own personal experience through his material. I highly recommend this book.

About the Book
The book, “Epics of a Man,” by Freddie McSears Jr. is about courage, strength, perseverance, marriage, lust, pain, sex, deliverance, triumph, adversity, love, acceptance, rejection, manipulation, adultery, agony, victory and redemption. It illustrates balance and imbalance in a life by which we all want to prosper. The reality is some of us make life happen while some of us survive it. The difference between the two is so small while the standard of living between the two is so large. The relationship between parent and child changes over time, but the love is constant and growing. A parent loving a child has been described as having your heart live outside of your body. Freddie McSears Jr. writes about the aforementioned in a memoir to his son. He does this through poetry. Freddie walks a fine line of over exposure with the material that is presented. Mr. McSears believes, “if my son can learn from my successes, than he can equally learn from my mistakes.”
Freddie McSears Jr. writes; “I want anyone to pick this book up at anytime and get what they require for a given circumstance. Our children are our most precious form of innocence, it is up to parents to guide, protect and nurture that innocence into adulthood. Parents (especially fathers) are the first line of defense for their children. This is a gift to my son; hopefully it will encourage you to give similar gifts to your children. About the Author
Freddie McSears Jr. who solely authored this is a God fearing man. He is a father, author, educator, friend, accountant, bass guitar player, major airline pilot, cook, son, grandson, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and artist of life.
He holds a Masters degree from the University of Central Michigan. His undergraduate studies were completed at Delaware State University. He graduated from Frankfurt American High School in Frankfurt, Germany. He also wrote, Broken Wings A Strong Heart. He is currently working on his most controversial literary piece. One can expect him to not hide behind the truth, but reveal his truth. In addition, he continues to work on his music.
Creating and learning about music, jogging and walks on a beach; various physical activities and hosting dinners are among his leisure activities. He has a reputation of being quite a cook.
